[SPOILER ALERT: Read on only if you have already watched Wednesday’s episode of Survivor: Kaôh Rōng.]
Aubry Bracco certainly has a flair for the dramatic. And her last-second change of heart (and strategy) put the finishing touches on a topsy-turvy Tribal Council that saw several people change their vote on the spot to vote out Peter instead of Julia.
The plan was to vote out the college student who had just joined the tribe (after Anna was voted out in last week’s episode). But then Scot and Tai began a side conversation at Tribal Council and decided to revert to an “original plan,” signaling to Julia to do the same. In a chaotic scene, Aubry then conferred with Joe, who wanted to keep their votes on Julia so the Brains tribe could stay in the majority.
So that’s what Aubry did, writing down Julia’s name. But when the votes were revealed, Aubry had crossed out Julia and then written Peter’s name underneath it, signaling the latest shift in the game, and the end of the ER doctor’s time in it.
